JESUIT 35, HOLY CROSS 21

Kurt Buchert recovered a fumble in the end zone with 8:26 remaining in the game to give Jesuit the lead, and the Blue Jays went on to defeat the Tigers in a District 7-5A game Saturday night at Tad Gormley Stadium.

Holy Cross (5-3, 2-3) tied the score at 21-21 in the fourth quarter when quarterback Yacum Hooker scored on a 1-yard run with 11:25 left.  Holy Cross got the ball back but Hooker fumbled and Buchert recovered in the end zone.  Pat Neely kicked the extra point to make the score 28-21.
